Background
Like many other items that I own, the base vehicles for this particular project came from my Dad’s collection, namely three Lima Mk3 coaches and a Lima class 47 diesel loco, all in Scotrail livery. I quite liked the look of the livery but had no idea about how the real stock had operated so a bit of research was in order. After a lot of reading, I learned enough about the push-pull services that had operated in Scotland in the 1980s to convince me that this would be an interesting project to complete by adding to the stock that I had so that a complete train could be created.
